Everyone is either in love, in search of love or hurt by it. But what does real love look like? Well, many have it confused with grand gestures such as far away trips, expensive gifts, posh dinners and a lavish lifestyle. Others sadly think that love equals settling, unconditional compromising, emotional suppression, or just accepting undesired situations just because ‘deep down you love someone’.
Both groups of people got it totally wrong. True love can be expressed in much simpler ways. Although ‘little gestures that matter’ has become an overused expression it is, in fact, true. Does that mean that a surprise romantic getaway by your partner is not welcome? Absolutely not. It’s just not a requirement nor an indication of someone’s true feelings.
Korean artist ‘Puuung’, has got it right – with her beautifully-drawn illustrations she puts real love into perspective. “Love is something that everybody can relate to. And Love comes in ways that we can easily overlook in our daily lives. So, I try to find the meaning of love in our daily lives and make it into artwork”, she writes on her Facebook page.
On her ‘Grafolio’ – the website hosting all of her work, we found some of our favorites.
