The wind is blowing. Summer is long gone and autumn slowly gives way for winter to come. Clothes are warmer, sandals are long gone and in the make-up world lipstick takes over from “barely there” lip-gloss. Still, this season’s lipstick colors are far from dull and wintery.
[quote_box_center]From deep berry colors to earthy browns and from orangey to wine red you will have more than a few options this winter to choose from![/quote_box_center]
- Wine Red, ranging from deep berry to plum, was a real hit in almost all fall 2013 runways. Prada present lips in warm plum and Luis Vuitton went for a more classic bordeaux red. Deep berry red, dark plum, burgundy, raspberry red; you name it and you will find it. It is one of the easiest lip colors since you can definitely find a shade that suits your skin tone. Fair skin loves all shades of wine, olive skin blends perfectly with maroon reds and in darker complexions deep plum is a winner.
- Pink, is playful, girly and easy to wear anytime of the day. Diane von Furstenberg presented a bubble-gum pink at New York fashion week; Tom Ford a pale (nude) pink; Dior went for baby pink. Choose the one you feel more comfortable with and your lips will not go unnoticed.
- Nudes are the perfect way to make your eyes get noticed. If you want a simple, delicate sleek look that you can wear all day long, pick a nude lipstick. All you need is lips that are well moisturized and you are ready to go.
- And for the brave, neon orange. If you fancy a more “pop” look go for it. A bit extreme, a bit “crazy” but surely impressive and fresh. Neon has been a hit in the fashion world for many seasons but this fall it went up a step, to the face.
Whichever shade you choose, wear it with confidence and it surely make your winter blues go away…
