According to an Italian study in the journal of Archival Gynecological Obstetrics, daily apple intake help you have a better sex life. Seven hundred and thirty one women took part in this study where they reported their daily intake of food and apples. They were also asked to fill in the FSFI (Female Sexual Index) questionnaire. ‘The subjects were divided into groups—those who did eat an apple daily and those who did not. Those who ate a regular diet of apples had higher scores on the FSFI. The theory is that there may be a positive correlation between a regular intake of phytoestrogens, polyphenols, antioxidants and women’s sexual health’
There are usually many fruits and foods that are known to boost your libido. From oysters and chocolate to black raspberries and broccoli. But apples were never famous for heating up things in the bedroom. Certain foods can help stimulate a chemical reaction that helps kick off your libido. For example, ‘figs are considered excellent stimulants of fertility and enhance the secretion of pheromones,’ say Drs. Clement. ‘Feast on up to five figs before getting it on and find out for yourself.’ He adds that ‘watermelon contains a phytonutrient called citrulline, which the body converts to arginine, an amino acid that boosts nitric oxide levels in the body, which relax blood vessels in the same way a medicine like Viagra does.’ (Fitness)
