I just watched the weather forecast and things are not looking good! Frozen temperatures, lots of rain, really strong winds and humidity levels going off the roof. As the weather man said a weather bomb is expected and it will last at least a week.

Truth be told, us women are prepared for all kind of weather circumstances no matter the season. Still, what we often find difficult is how to tame our hair when all odds of looking good are against them. Wearing a hat is an interesting stylish option but you cannot wear a hat all day long, can you?

As your hair is one of the first things people notice when they look at you, here are a few simple hairstyles every woman can do to keep bad hair days at bay.

IT’S RAINING, IT’S POURING

No matter how irritated you may get when it’s raining outside, it is a great opportunity to just let your hair be. No straightening or curling tools are necessary as there is a great chance that the rain will destroy your hairstyle.

The wise and certainly extra chic option is to go for a super easy and quick updo that requires no special hairdresser skills but a good hairspray and bobby pins. An easy, quick and absolutely beautiful updo that works on short, medium, or long hair.

HUMIDITY ATTACK

I am sure the word “frizz” rings a bell to many of you ladies out there! Humidity comes hand in hand with frizziness. How to protect yourself from the big frizz? Start in the shower and give your hair the maximum moisture they can handle. You can use a good moisturising shampoo and conditioner but there are also some very good home remedies that can give your hair the moisture they need.

Once moisturisation is settled, the second step is a hairdo that will look good even if humidity levels hit an all time high. Which hairstyle is that? A super elegant and stylish braided updo!

LET IT SNOW

Snow, even though can significantly affect your hairstyle, it is not as radical as rain. When it is snowing outside you can embrace hair “puffiness”. In case you haven’t noticed, puffy, unruly hair is in and snow is its best ally. As I am sure you guessed already, it is necessary for your hair to be really hydrated if you do not want them to look like a bundle of hay.

If, however, you are more of a stylish-look person, a polished top knot or cool chignon is your best option. This low chignon hairdo is easy and can be done even if your hair is cut in layers. Perfect!

IT’S WINDY AND I LIKE IT

The first thing that comes to mind when it is really windy outside is to have your hair up. Still,  windy weather is a great excuse for women like me with unmanageable, wild, curly, untamed hair to let them loose and free, in other words wear the bedhead, messy style.

It is rather easy to create such a hairstyle. Do your preparation steps the night before and sleep on it and in the morning you will have the best “windy” look ever! And if you are in need of a bit more control, try using a hair clip or a headband to control the shorter pieces in the front.
